It seems that there is this mean streak in people today. They feel entitled to speak down to anyone they feel is not as smart as they! This is shown in the reviews of this book. This is a nice guy telling us about his life in a nice way. When I read this book, it feels like I’m just sitting down with a friend for a chat. Some of these other reviewers need to get down off their high horse and smell the roots of reality.

Ok, no one here on Fellow Bibliomaniacs did that… it was a knee jerk reaction to a review of this book on Goodreads. I enjoy reading/hearing about regular people, making it big in something they like doing. We do not need to have an author act like he is in English class in order to enjoy what they have to say. Go get an ice tea and sit down and read this book! Light and fun, it will get you through that vacation, rainy day, or sheltering at home!

It’s March, and Spring is just around the corner.

In the Northern Hemisphere, it’s time to get the garden started, and the bicycle tires aired up. The gloom of winter will soon pass, and the sun will be our companion. What is one thing you will do this year to make this your best summer yet? Share your ideas in the comments.

The Nutcracker Trilogy

I will continue to shamelessly promote these books because I’m so excited about being a small part of Drosselmeyer’s journey. If you’re new here, let me encourage you to check out The Nutcracker Trilogy by Paul Thompson. All three books are available in print and as e-books. Books one and two are available as audiobooks, narrated by yours truly. Click the links below to explore.

Oh, and it doesn’t have to be Christmas for you to enjoy these stories (just like it doesn’t have to be Christmas to enjoy Harry Potter).
