Clay the Mudwing dragon has been living in a cave under a mountain his whole life and knows a war has been going on for about twenty years now. Initial Thoughts

When I first picked up the book in third grade, I just thought it was too hard to read but learned that I was wrong about this book series. My friends had finished all the books and said it was the best book series they have ever read. So I picked up this book again and started to read the book. When I finished, I picked up the second book and kept reading on and on with the book series. It really is the best book series I have read, and I can’t wait for the rest of the books to come out. If someone is struggling to find a book series to read, I would recommend the Wings of Fire series.

The five main characters in this story are very close friends. In fact, they view each other as being like brothers and sisters.—What struggles did they face on their journey?

On the way out of the mountain, the friends receive an unexpected visit from one of the dragon queens. Tsunami thought Queen Scarlet was a threat to her and her friends, so she attacked the queen. But the queen was too strong for them, so she ended up capturing the five dragons. This was only one of many circumstances that helped Clay to find his courage.

What makes this such a good series to read?

What makes this book series a really good book series, it is all in the dragon’s point of view. In that way, it is very different from other books that I have read.

What did you like about this book that made you want to read book two?

I wanted to know more about how the friends were going to stop the war. Since they are only kids, I wanted to know how such young characters could stop a war.

Who would you recommend this book to?

I would recommend the books to anyone looking for a good series to read. I think that this story would be enjoyable for both girls and boys, 10 years old and up.

Do you think adults would enjoy the story too?

I don’t think this story is just for kids. I really think that adults would enjoy reading this story too. My mom read it, and she really liked it!
